I'm heading down to my brothers farm Friday morning around 5:30am leaving. It takes an hour and hope to be there by 6:30am and at my stand by 7am. Gives me about 22 minutes before legal time Hunting all day Friday and Saturday. Hope to post a doe and with good luck a buck!

Probably wishful thinking, suggesting that a few does may come into estrous, but appreciate the optimism. You are still a couple weeks from much if any breeding activity.

^^^^^ Agreed. May have some younger bucks getting frisky but mature bucks primarily still moving at night. Yet to have a pic of a 3.5 yr old or older moving during daylight. All 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.. Might get a older doe to come into estrous but Halloween is usually starting point of seeking phase in southeastern Indiana followed shortly thereafter the chasing phase. (My favorite time to hunt).

Absolutely hunt whenever you can. We are close enough for early breeding rituals to begin and hey deer also gotta eat. I will be out over next few days hunting primarily food sources and late next week will be switching over to travel corridor's and stands next to doe bedding area's. Just checked 15 day extended forecasts and still no cooler temps in sight. A cold snap would certainly help some daytime activity.

I'm excited about the weekend, but I get excited to wake up in the morning.
We're still waiting on treydog's first deer. His heart starts beating fast when he hears a noise in the woods.
