Ive not run it through a chrono .... my short draw usually kills the rated speed. I would think with my setup (67 lbs, 28" and 440gr arrow) that it would be around 280 or so. IBO is rated at 331. Probably 268-270.

Buddy is a Hoyt rep .... this one (and last one) were bows he needed to get rid of with the new model year coming out. Before Hoyt I shot a Bowtech.

Im still shooting the same 'ol Carbon Express Terminator Select arrows Ive shot for the past several years .... need to order some more and will likely go with the Maxima Blue Streak which will cut the arrow weight by about 75 grains. Im fine with that for Whitetail ....

I've been using the Maxima Blue Streak Selects the last few years. At 56# draw weight and 28" draw length, I'm cranking right on the 300 FPS mark with a Bowtech RPM 360.

With my Athens Archery Ace, 70lb, 29", 490gr arrow...288fps. It flat out thumps whatever it hits and with that heavy arrow, an already quiet bow is dead silent.

I think 340 grains, which includes an 85-grain broadhead. I drove up to Crown Point as soon as I bought the bow and had "Tony219er" from ArcheryTalk build me a set of strings/cables and tune it.

You're probably a little over 300fps. It's been a couple of years since I shot through a chrono, so I can't recall. I use OnTarget2 software, but I don't recall its calculation either. Lol!

Im right on the line between the 250 and 350 series shafts .... either one will be considerably lighter than what Im shooting. My current shafts are listed at 11.1 gpi. The 250 are 7.4 and the 350 are 8.3.

Im not unhappy with what Im using .... just need more. My current lot is going on 10 years old and arrow technology has actually changed a bit in that time. I figure the cost wont be greatly different so I want to try the newer stuff instead of just buying more of what I already have.

An elk stopped a 440. One of them anyway. A broadside shot blew through but a second, hard quartering to shot stopped with the head just sticking out the far side.
Had a whitetail stop a 440 last year too...quartering away shot. Nock poking out near side and head out far side. Went through some bone on both sides though.
