Hello bird hunters, I am going to give duck hunting a go this season and was looking online for what I need. It states I need to obtain an HIP registration number. Is this true? Also, I have my bird stamp from turkey hunting. Do I need to also get a migratory bird stamp? Any other info is appreciated. Thanks

I would probably save your money and buy more deer stuff.
However, If you really want to do it, yes, you'll need a HIP number. They are easy to get and no cost. DNR webpage will have it.
You'll need a federal stamp and I think they are $25 now.
I bought so many licenses this year, I forget what I bought, but turkey is different than migratory birds.
I have lots of equipment that I'll give to my ice fishing buddy as I'll never duck hunt here. However, I am going to try to shoot a goose, but mostly because they are a big slow target and I don't like them.

Geese travel almost as fast as a duck and if I can offer you some advise, lead the head not the body.

Well, they're a bigger target then, and I want to take a shot at one.

Hi Nate! It's been a long time. Those ribbons you bought your dog look really nice on him. Black and blue always goes good together.
