Well I drove over to Ohio this morning only to run into pouring rain 5 miles away from my woods. Hopefully it moves through quick so I can get out there.

Brrrrr. This weather should have them on there feet this morning. Really h,ping so anyways. The leaves need to start falling so we can actually see further than 20 yards in front of us. Just to see 1 would be nice!

Hunting a new standard site today due to having the day off. Not expecting much but due to corn and rain flooding the creek this is my only option.

Nothing yet this morning. I have definitely gotten blanked more this year than years past. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Me and treydog are out. He's in the bottom stand, and I'm in the Hilton. Hope to see something in this last 35 minutes. Well? Thanks for asking! No harvest, but trey had his first encounter. Two does and a buck came through the bottom land at 7:06. These three have been hanging around each other all year. It seemed like the big doe was trying to chase him away all year, but he doesn't want to leave the nest. Now, he's big enough for other interest. Not sure what she's going to think about this. Big ten will have different plans for him. Trey sees them, reaches to turn on the GoPro, and it goes, "beep beep beep". The two does ran away, but the buck just looked at him. He stayed motionless with heart pounding. The buck blew at him twice and then trotted off to catch up with the girls. It was a good experience for him, and the GoPro is in silent mode now. I told him that it was good that it happened with that group and not treehead. He would definitely need years of counseling if he'd missed the opportunity at one of the big boys. Now, he'll just lose a few nights sleep. They don't seem to be visiting the food plot much now. We have some good food for them, but corn is still up all around us. Big ten still comes around and seems to be the only buck coming. I'm thinking the other boys will sneak back for a visit at some point.

Nothing yet this morning. I have definitely gotten blanked more this year than years past. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Ive seen 8 total this year, all doe. Wife took a young buck early this month. I took a doe shortly after. Besides that i have bumped a few walking in for the morning sit. I bet ive hunted 15 of the 21 days so far this month. The effort is there. Im betting most my chips on the fact that its been warmer than usual this year. My understanding is deer dont have sweat glands like we do, add the winter coat coming in, makes sense. Their moving at night when its somewhat cooler. Add the corn still standing in my areas, and id say thats a recipe for not seeing alot of deer at the moment! Theres deer sign everywhere, i know they are here. Hoping the good things come to those who wait plays out for me lol

Had two fawns and two medium does walk by this morning. About same sightings but increase in fawns. Ehd hurt my area a few years ago but with that over and 20 coyotes removed the last 2 years things are getting better.

Not much. Couple big limbs down on walk up. But it was dark. Don't see much, if any, from stand.

Excited to head out tonight. Planning to do a little rattling. I usually rattle several in starting around Halloween, so it might be a little early, but you never know with this cooler weather we've been having.

Boss had a buck run into the side of his truck yesterday. A co worker almost hit a buck this morning. This all between 5-5:30am. So I think we are close here in noble for some action.

Expect to hear of some chasing in our northern counties soon. Looking forward to late next week to get into some serious hunting.
