So much for "The Outdoorsman Code". I had a brand new ground blind, 2 brand new hunting chairs, a brand new field knife set, brand new Flextone fawn/buck/doe call and a brand new trail camera stolen off of private ground last year. Only 2 people had permission to hunt this little 6 acre patch, myself and whoever I took with me. Just don't understand why people just can't leave items that don't belong to them alone. Sorry to hear this. I saw a trespasser once on the private property I hunt and now my cameras and stands are locked up. We work hard for the things we have and some people just can not respect that. It is awful to have things you work hard for stolen by lazy pos.

Yeah, unfortunately with the society that we like in today we have a number of people who would rather lie, cheat, and steal than to be a productive citizen. Not to mention the lazy citizens who have everything given to them by the Government, when they are darn well capable of getting a job and paying their dues. Sorry if I'm a little blunt and straight forward, but it's how I feel.

My buddies and hunting club I belong to in Alabama just had their season go out on Feb 10th. Numbers were down there. I see thousands of cranes every night by my house. Right at dark when they fly back to refuge it is deafening.

parrothead, what were your final numbers for the season as far as time in stand? Your season numbers always amaze me.

I've been seeing a lot of deer around the house the last week or so. I saw 11 in the field across from my house around 6:00 PM Tuesday evening, 3 at the bottom of my driveway at 5:15 AM Thursday morning, and 5 today at 2:00 PM about 100 yards from my back door in a field. I went back into the woods behind the house this afternoon and moved a rut stand from one tree to another 50 yards away, and in a t-shirt to boot!
