I cleared an area to plant on Friday and didn't get it planted this weekend. When I was there today, there were 2 puffballs, one about the size of a large Orange, and another the size of a large grapefruit.
Both felt very soft, and when I dropped the larger one on the ground, it was like a water balloon breaking that had a bunch of runny egg whites inside. No brown at all, but the skin was a light tan/brown color.
I thought they were supposed to be firm inside?? Anybody see that before?

Never seen that before. Maybe to much rain!! I have no idea. Sandy soil, actually sand taken from the bottom of a pond and brought to an area to build up a building pad. Higher than 95% of the surrounding area, and there is no runoff going to this area.

Duff, I prepped the ground on Friday, and this was Monday that they were there. Creamy white inside, no other colors.
