Have one fall plot to finish as soon as is dry enough. ( Something I have never had a problem with in August before). Also letting mineral licks go until first week September then will clean them out and cover with top soil. Going to bushhog clover plots and do one more cutting of alfalfa as well before mid September and check all stand straps and setups. Opening day will be upon us before you know it.

I cut my clover just before the rains, and they are in it more now than I have ever seen them. Do you think I should cut the clover again in mid September?
I stopped using the mineral licks. I would put them in a bucket so they wouldn't leach into the ground, but the rain would make it messy, and I was afraid for the deer to drink it after it sat so long. Removing the earth was just something too hard for me too.

I sprayed some clover for grass this morning. Plan on waiting a week and then mowing 1 last time before season. Prolly put a top dressing of 6-24-24 fertilizer on them all in couple weeks as well. Hope to get my fall plot finished today or tomorrow since we finally got a break from the rain.

I will be down Sunday and Monday to plant a few things. I am hoping the rain stays away long enough to work the soil. if I can get that done I will be good to go.

Think you should be good as local forecast is spotty showers next few days. 30% last I saw. Several guys cutting hay so must not be to big a threat of rain.
