There is a ducks unlimited event/party on August 20th at the laporte county fair grounds. Not quite sure what the event entails I've never been to one but I'm curious if anyone could tell me what goes on at these events. It's $35 for adults $20 for youth

It is a fund raising event. have fun and meet some other duck crazy folks.

As Duff said it's a great time and you will meet others that share your interest in the sport and maybe you might meet a new hunting partner. If you are serious about the sport it's a great way to support it.

I've only waterfowl hunted a couple times when I was younger, but would like to get into it eventually. I never hear anything good about waterfowl in our state. It's a big investment for marginal success. Unless you get the right hunting spots I suppose. I really would like to get going on the birds perhaps if and when I find a good place to hunt them.
