I need to get off my lazy butt and shoot some arrows , this heat has seriously sapped my desire to go outside . Other than that I'm pretty much set .

Might, I say might, put up a ladder stand Saturday, IF the heat dosen't kill me at work, WHEW! I've got several more stands to get up in other places. Time's slipping away. My son and I have been scouting at a relatives farm I hunt around Crawfordsville. I've already got some decent pictures from the woods. I'm going to put out a feeder this year also. We have shot quite a few 3D events, and I think we both are ready. I had to buy him a bow, a slug gun, new camo, early, and late patterns. Man kids are expensive! Best of luck to everyone!

Ive been sorting threw my hunting stuff sitting in the A/C the last couple of weeks. Got to make up some arrows yet but my bow stuff is pretty much ready.
I plan on plowing up two food plots next week and then plant them about the second week of August with Shot Plot and Provide mixed. This stuff makes a great fall and early winter attractant and food source.
Once season starts i usually hunt most every day until January. Good luck to all, H.H.

I'll miss the KY operner on September 3rd as I'll be out west on vacation.
I'll get back mid-September and I'll be primed to go.
I've been shooting both crossbows about every other day.
I never got around to taking 4 stands down last year, so those are in place. In a couple of weeks I'll head up and check them over and probably replace the straps that have been in the weather all year.
The Indiana opener will be here before you know it.
Unfortunately it seems like the season just opens and it is over. Time flies when you are HAVING FUN!

Bob , if you decide to hunt you can borrow mine until you get one that suits you better . I was wanting to see about bow hunting your place again anyway , so I could bring it with me . Let me know if you need it .

Bob, if you think this is going to be a permenant problem with your shoulder, I'd go ahead and get what you need to hunt.
I've got a hundred jobs it's too hot to do, I'm just waiting until it's too cold to do them.

Jack there is no question that it is permanent. Just have to decide if I want to go with a xbow or maybe try a high letoff compound in the 40-45# range. Need to get with a good archery shop and explore my options. I have always resisted the high let off because I still shoot fingers. I WILL be in the woods opening day be it Kevins xbow, a new cbow or the Kodak.

Biob, You are in teh veyr same position I was 5 years ago. I fought and fought it and finally had to give in and pick up that "evil crossbw" . I put target limbs on my bow as I couldn't crank it down for enough with the hunting limbs. I got where I could not even pull 40 pounds. I really didn't want to hunt with 40 pounds anyway. Too me that is very marginal to hunt deer with. Good luck on your choice, but I don't think a camera will fulfill your desires..
