As we all know stands are allowed to be up through specific dates. I found a stand that has obviously been left up year round in a spot I would like to hunt. It is tagged but my assumption is that if it's left up when it's not suppose to be it's abandoned. what are my legal options to either claim this stand as abandoned and be able to use it or to be able to put my own stand in its place?

Contact the property manager or the local conservation Officer. They attempt to remove stands that are left on the property during the off season but they have the possibility of missing a few. The properties typically have a procedure for getting rid of the stand either by returning it to the owner if it is marked or a predetermined methods if it is not marked.
