Well a least for us up here in NW Indiana. Its time to pick berries!!! This is our first pick of the year off our wild raspberries. 2 one gallon ice cream pals. We should get about 5 more for the year. Great on vanilla ice cream.  |

Great score. Mine didn't do so well here this year for lack of rain. Mine are on the North side of a building which helps with the lack of rain. We ended up with 6 gallons total. Black berries are coming out now. Not my favorite, i like raspberries better, but I will eat them. |

I've picked 14 gallons of Wild Blackberries and 4 gallons tame the tame are just now getting started , I enjoy picking about as much as eating them ,I'll give some to my MIL she doesn't pick em any more since her dogs treed a BEAR in the berry patch near Jamestown KY LOL

i made a hot lap around the back 40 or 8 but who's counting!!! Found a few ripe black berries and tried them. They were almost as good as black rasberries so i picked a cup or so took them home and let the kids try them...meh. The are rasberry fans. I grabbed a few and they were too tart so the few i tried were not the normal. I try them every so often, just not my favorite. Black rasberries on the otherhand....that ranks up there with fresh honey, pecan pie and back straps!
The critters will get to finish the black berries off again.
