This was good Woody.
They can sure seem to disappear in the summer, but I'm also not around as much to see them and they aren't in Greenwood.
I think it's cool to hear them shock call. I've been out when it's thundering and a tom would answer to the boom. Once I heard one answer to coyotes. It was cool.

Hey, I was watching my deer videos, and surprised a bit at how much they chased each other away from my corn. Does would chase the big and little bucks, and bucks chase each other away from the corn. It seemed when one was eating, another one would chase it away.
Only once did I see three does eating at the same time and a big buck came in and they jumped away.
Question: Do turkeys act this way around food? From my limited videos of turkey, they seem content to all graze at the same time.

I've got 7 now. Four jakes, 1 tom and 2 hens. I'm excited. After not seeing any the first two year at my deer land, and then seeing one last year, I'm so happy to see them come in.
...build it and they will come.
