The wife and I went down to the pond to do some Bluegill fishing hoping the gills would be spawning however there were no signs of any spawning efforts. There were no beds,no aggressive fish, nothing. We did keep about 15 nice fish and found that the females have egg sacks but they are very small and undeveloped,usually by this time of the year they are done or just about done. My guess would be that they are about a week away from spawning. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

Beds all over the place at Westwood last week. Hundreds of them.

Went out this morning for a short visit to the pond the Bass and Bluegills are full of eggs and getting closer to spawn according to esshup the next full moon is the 20th so next week things should start kicking into high gear.
