Do you support ONLY Registered Wild turkey hunters on F and W areas between 4:30 am and 1:00 pm?
Idea for the DNR Fish and WildlifeSEE - secure.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/files/fw-Got-INput_2016_issue_background.pdfWild turkey hunting on Fish and Wildlife areas 9. Allow only registered turkey hunters and those who are fishing between 4:30 am and 1:00 pm in the field on property managed by the Division of Fish and Wildlife during the spring wild turkey season. Background: Throughout most of Indiana, spring turkey season often coincides with the peak morel hunting season. Morel hunting on a fish and wildlife managed property is a secondary use that, during turkey season , conflicts with the primary use (turkey hunting). Morel hunters often disturb hunters and turkeys while in the field. Moreover, there is a certain amount of risk involved with having morel hunters (and other secondary users) in the field during the spring turkey season.

Yes, as it would be much safer. I am surprised this isn't a law already.

Same rule at atterbury, but a lot of mushrooms hunters could care less. Had many hunts ruined by people looking for mushrooms before they were supposed to be.

Yes I agree. There are only so many people drawn for turkey hunts at fwa wouldn't want their hunt being disturbed. It's much harder to hunt turkey than mushrooms. The mushrooms are stationary.
