Had an awesome opportunity to see two of the rarest animals in my neck of the woods today. First was the bobcat at 1:09 in the afternoon while I was mowing grass. I barely got a glance from it, he was walking along paying me no mind. I was about 20-30 yards from it, it never sprinted or anything just walked into the thickets. Secondly, was a rabbit I chased up while mowing. I hope the two never meet. Seing both within 10 minutes of eachother has to be a rare thing. They were 100 yards from each other with a pond separating them. I put this thread here because I hope all the native planting I did awhile back is paying off. Even if it's not related I'm claiming it anyway. Sorry no pics, by the time I soaked it in the bobcat was gone. BTW there is a big o'Tom near Bloomington along the new I-69 this guy was full strut and a MONSTER. Today was a good day.

Make up a 5 gal. bucket of "salt sticks". do tell Soak 12" chunks of wooden tomato stakes in heavy salt brine for several days, them tap them into the ground near where you see rabbits. The salt benefits them during breeding.
