The new law for deer hunting with a centerfire rifle lists .300 as a legal caliber. In discussing this with friends there is some disagreement as to what this means. Specifically I want to know if the .300 blackout is now legal. Some others mentioned were 300 Win mag, 30-40 Krag, 300 Savage and a host of others. Are all these calibers legal?

At this time,if it is a .300 it is legal. I will do some research on the 30-40 Krag. I do not want to give an answer that is not correct or within the statute. I have posted the calibers that were made legal below. I cannot post a copy of the actual statute due to not having yet been added to the code.
The following calibers of rifle were made legal by the registration: (A).243 (B) .30-30 (C) .300 (D) .30-06 (E) .308
