First nice day of weather so I got my new Barnet Predator out, topped it with a Octane Dead Zone scope and sighted it in at 20, then shot it at 40 and started playing with the speed selector dial until I got that dialed in. Shot 6 shot groups from 20 to 60 yards and was very impressed with its accuracy off the bench. I plan to put at least a couple dozen bolts through it every week this summer to make sure it's good and broke in by this years season.

Let us know how long the string lasts. I've heard as little as 100 bolts

Did the same with my old Bear Truth, going to work up to 50 this year.

Barnetts seem to be hit and miss on strings and overall longevity. They run more downpressure on the rail than most. Keep it lubed up a lot. My TenPoint has hundreds of shots and string and cables still look new. They recommend new set every 3 years and limited lube. My Excal has hundred of shots too, and other than adjusting for initial stretch, it looks great as well. I have never lube the Excal rail.

I've been lubing it every 6-8 shots and waxing after each days use. Have not noticed any fraying yet.

I recently got a wicked ridge invader g3 and I am thoroughly pleased. I lubed the rail and waxed string before I started shooting it and have roughly 50 + bolts through it and string looks great. ten point recommends lubing rail every 100 bolts

Yep, I was told 100 shots too. I probably have more than that on mine now, so I'll have them changed before I give it away and buy a Horton.
Changing the main string every 100 shots wouldn't be too bad, but my cheap xbow isn't easy to change like some are.
