My land owner mentioned something about his ash trees dying. A couple years ago, he lost some poplar. in 2012 we had a drought that hit the poplars hard. Many were oozing heavy sap that was coating the ground below. This weakend the tree making it prone to bugs and diseases

Poplar is still dying around here.
Some of them are dead and just don't know it yet. They are dead, they just still have leaves. I read a study about a drought decades ago and when they cut down a few trees that "lived" through it, they hadn't grown a bit since the drought years ago. They just hadn't died yet.

Some of my more portly and geriatric friends have been complaining this blind is hard to get in to. So while I had the saw out this afternoon and I was right near there, I put in a handicap entrance for the crossbow users.
