As Leslie Nielsen said in "The Naked Gun" "Nice Beaver!"
Have you tried the woodchuck or the beaver for coyote bait? We used woodchuck all the time for fox and coyotes.

I have literally trapped over a thousand groundhogs over the years I'd imagine. One year I gave 50 carcasses to a guy who made coyote bait with them and sent me a couple different flavors (LOL) I actually cleaned this one and put it in the freezer and am going to attempt to cook it. Been told by many people they are actually very good to eat. We shall find out soon enough

Let us know how the woodchuck turns out, I have heard they are tasty too.

I have eaten both. With the hog (if fat) I would remove as much fat as possible (not that it has a bad taste but it will make the meat greesy)then parboil if you are going to fry or put in a roasting pan on a rack with spices you would put on a roast. If ,like me.you parboil to long just pick the meat off the bone and dump your choice bbq sauce on it for sandwhiches. The same goes for beaver plus lots more recipes for it.
