Out in Maryland doing some deer hunting during the morning and evenings while hunting various species during the day. My buddy and I picked up a 25 dollar electronic call at Dick's last night and decided to see what we could call in today. With the Savage .17hmr in hand, we went into the woods after lunch. With a solid two feet of snow on the ground, we dug ourselves a nice spot to sit facing a ridge and set the call out. First on the gun, my buddy operated the remote to get that rabbit in distress call going. I swear not 10 minutes in we see a fox come over the ridge scanning the area. Skeptically, the ole fox came running straight at the call before realizing something wasn't right. It took off back up the ridge and stopped behind a tree about 60 yards out. I sat, gun ready, for what felt like forever before he stepped out. First shot went right through the lungs but gave it a quick second to put it down quickly. Its safe to say the speed of predator hunting has me hooked...

That is a nice one! Congratulations!
I'm taking it you didn't do any good on the deer while you were there?

That is correct, Woody Saw plenty of deer but all out of range and wouldn't budge off of their route.
