I'm curious if anyone out there in the southern part of the state happens to know if there is any where down there that holds wild hogs. I have a buddy who is determined to hunt them and we would like to avoid paying non resident prices to travel out of state.

Far between. They are there but in pockets. Here one day gone for a month. I know a couple of guys that have leases and get a few every year but you ain't going to hunt them. Said it before and I'll say it again, guys that don't have them want them gone, guys that have them want them to stay. I'll give you this. Lawrence, Jackson, and some degree Washington county. Leesville area seems to be the central area. We have had them on our farm over north of Salem couple years back. Start around Bedford and go east along the river. Good luck but you'd be better off going out of state unless you know someone that has them and keeps them there.
