But a good day for small game...
Had a bad day without seeing a single deer so I went back to camp for my Ruger 77/17 and went after some small game for dinner. A pair of white sweats or hospital scrubs makes great winter snow camo for under $30.
The oldest son went out the next day and got these reds also. He was dying to try out the new 10/22 I got him for Christmas. Really like these 10/22's...almost as fun as my 17 calibers...NOT!!
Had to give the kids their new rifles early so they would have a chance to actually hunt with them. We really need later small game seasons.
