I haven't read the book or any reviews....yet. Just the trailers that I've seen almost reminded me of a few scenes from the "Jeremiah Johnson" movie?

Based on what I have seen / read about it, it will be worth the $$ just for the awesome scenery.

I've read the book as well. Can't decide whether to see Revenant or Hateful 8 first.

We are going to see it Friday when it opens. The story of Hugh Glass is remarkable. He had to be one tough trapper. One of the members on Primitive Archer made all of the bows and arrows for the movie. He's a real N. A. and makes authentic weapons, not hollywood props

A guy that posts a lot on American Longrifles .org made the rifle for the movie. Should be good.

The wife and I are planning to see it tomorrow. I've read the saga of Hugh Glass, he was one tough mountain man!

Curious as to others reviews. I saw this tonight. Without too many details.....Good effects, so so plot, being an outdoorsman I feel I have a better understand of hypothermia than Hollywood. Would wait till redbox.

I enjoyed it. I believe the real events took place in warmer weather. I guess the cold made more of an impact for a movie.

This movie made Jeremiah Johnson look like a cartoon. I will never complain again about being miserable in the outdoors.

The movie won Golden Globe awards for best movie, best directing and best actor. In my opinion this movie was far more entertaining than Star Wars.

From the previews it looks like a fair representation of my deer hunting in the late 90's. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) The true story of Hugh Glass is amazing. I hope they didn't add much... the truth is hard enough to process.
