Is that the same iron kettle around the corner from Patti's Settlement? Grand Rivers, Ky area up the road from LBL? I've eaten there a time or two, I prefer Patti's....Great Food.

This Iron Kettle is right off penny rile just south of madisonville. I would like to try something other then the Iron Kettle. I wasnt real impressed with the food there. We plan to camp this year and cook our own food.......we will see how that goes.

Iron Kettle , isn't to bad. If you want a great burger try Ferrels ,located in Madisonville on N. Main St.. If BBQ is your fancy travel a little bit north to hanson Ky ( just north of madisonville) and go about 3 miles N on 41, Good Ole boys BBQ. excellent food. i hunt KY every year, was born and raised in madisonville. Used to hunt the old military grounds ( Dupont property), down past the truck stop and Iron Kettle years ago. Now I hunt northern part of county. We have a family owned farm there. Are you camping at teh best western camp ground down by the truck Stop? nmhunter

The deer was taken in Western KY just north of madisonville. 18 points non-typical and scored green B/C 193. gun is a HS Precision 2000P handcannon in a 308 win. shot was taken at 90 yds. Turned out to be a pretty good season. nmhunter
