Whatever you do, DO NOT get the Jaguar Crossbow there. JDUB has one, the optic is junk, the bolts are very poor and didn't fly well - TNX to Woody's generous donations we got those 2 problems fixed. A few bolts later the insert between the limbs and stock broke rendering it unshootable. We gave up on it at this point; It's rated 4.5 stars - who are they paying off!!! They are made by Poe Lang in Taiwan.
(Woody let me know if you want anything back)

What do you fellas think about a light xbow. Does the accuracy suffer from the light weight?

I got a Barnett Raptor FX in black this year from Cabela's. This xbow is a lot lighter than a buddy's Barnett Wildcat C5 I borrowed. For some reason the black is $100 than the camo version. It cost $299, shipped for free, and came with a Barnett 4x scope, three arrows with field points, wax/lube, and a cocking rope. It's a pretty good package; however, I don't like the scope. 4x is too much magnification for me (I prefer a wider field of view), and when the conditions are wrong (sun setting/rising behind you), there is a lot of reflection on the lens.

It's hard to complain about that price; I think it's a good deal. For me, I'm thinking 3 seasons with my quad deserves an upgrade for next year. I'm sure my wife would feel the same way IF I were to tell her, but she doesn't need to know these things.

The doe I shot at 28 yds this season turned from broadside to quarter towards me and I didn't know it until I recovered her. She took up so much glass with the 4x scope, I had no idea she turned.
