How much does the trailer weigh at this point?

I'm not sure what the weight is. I lifted the tongue off the ground when I was camping in Michigan a few weeks ago. I don't think its as heavy as it looks. I know it pulls good empty or loaded down.

I started staining the walls this morning and once I got onto the second panel I decided it was to dark. I removed both wall panels and replaced them. I got a couple cans of lighter stain and started over. I finally got it all done shortly before dark. I feel like I had a Mr. Miyagi paint the fence workout. I was closing up the camper for the night and realized I forgot to stain the door. I had to get a flashlight to finish that up. The walls don't really match the floor but I'm not to worried about it. Once I get the trim done and everything moved back in I don't think it will be to bad. I used the stain/polyurethane combo and there isn't to many options of that available. I couldn't find a shade that looked good with the floor.

Today I worked on the trim work. I used some leftover barn siding scraps. I trimmed around the windows and door. I also ran a strip of barn siding around the floor. It doesn't look like I got much done but I worked on it all day. It felt like I was in slow motion today. I couldn't clear the cobwebs out of my head it seemed like. I made a list of stuff to finish the trim work. I'll get some supplies and finish up the ceiling and around the bed platform on Thursday.

I did some more trim work today around the bed platform. I still need to tack down the canvas material and figure out if I'm cutting the mattress down to fit. I was hoping to finish all the trim today but I ended up helping my dad with his project. I have 2 more boards to put on the ceiling and then put the rope along the corners. I also rebuilt the shelves in the front. I'm not 100% happy with them but I guess they will work. I didn't like how the plastic outlet covers looked so I replaced them with wooden covers that I stained. This is one of the wall panels that I had to replace. I had to piece it together because I was out of full sheets. I wasn't very happy with that but I didn't want to drive an hour to home depot for one board.

I used some old rope as a corner trim between the walls and ceiling. My wife said the rope gives it a nautical look and she isn't crazy about it. I reminded her that we were standing on what used to be a boat trailer and maybe I was trying to incorporate that into the project just a little bit. I put another heavy coat of sealer on the front and back of the camper. I need to get another gallon and finish the back side. I started to put up the LED tape light but decided to test it out first. It wasn't bright enough. For how much I paid for that light I though it should be brighter. I'm going to return it and get something else. I got the canvas tacked down neatly on the bed platform.

More than I was thinking when I started. It's always that way though. I'm very close to getting it finished. I have some small hardware pieces to install, hang the new light, and seal the back side.

Thanks guys. I've enjoyed working on this project and seeing it come together. Every time I think I'm about finished I find something else that needs done. This evening I dulled some trade points and hafted them on my curtain rods. I got them hung back up. I got a sheet set for the bed. The curtains don't match. I have a couple extra pillow cases. I might have my mom sew them into new curtains. I exchanged the light for a brighter one. It's still low profile so it won't take up much headroom. The cord doesn't look good going across the ceiling. I didn't want a hard wired light. If it goes out I want to be able to unplug it and swap it out with a new one without removing ceiling and wall panels. I moved the light all around the camper and that is where I got the most even lighting. I'll just have to get used to the cord being there. I still need to mount the battery puck light on the ceiling over the bed for when I don't have electric hookup. I hung the bow rack up. I also put up some hooks to hang towels on and some screw eyes on the front of the bed platform. When the storage area is full I put my cooler, toolbox, etc. up against the bed platform and strap them down. It keeps the weight more over the axles and off the tongue.

I hope the storms don't blow it away tonight. I parked the truck right next to it to try and block some of the wind. The house and garage should help also.

I woke up at 1:30 am and realized my roof overlaps are facing the wrong direction for the oncoming wind. I could just see the roof panels peeling back like a sardine can. I tried to tell myself it would be OK but I couldn't go back to sleep. So I grabbed a flashlight and headed outside. I used some ratchet straps and a tow strap to hold it down. That's about all I can do to prepare it for the wind. I hope it holds. Now its 2:00 am and I'm wide awake

Scrub......I like the curtain and the rod, I hope you didn't get any damage. You sure have put a lot of hard work into your camper too have it torn up.

It shifted east of us and we just caught the edge of the storm. The Cincinnati area got hit hard. We didn't get much at all. That was a lot of worrying and preparation for nothing.
Nfalls, I didn't care what color they were when I was putting them on at 2 am.

Sorry. It's on back order. I don't plan on building another one anytime soon. It's been fun but a lot of hard work. I got a heater for it today. I wanted something that looked like a wood fire. I can have the flames going with no heat. It makes a nice glow with the lights off. A friend sent me this candle holder for it. One of my battery LED candles fits in it nicely. It matches the look of the camper.
