I was at the store the other day and over heard 2 guys talking about waterfowl hunting on Lake Michigan .Is that legal ? And if so how would one go about getting permission ? There was no mention on waterfowl hunting on Wolf lake on the Illinois side .

While I found out it is legal, the access is usually the issue as well as limitations on where you can hunt. So that you get the information first had, I am going to recommend that you contact our Central Dispatch and have a Lake County officer call you. These guys deal with it more than I and know the particulars to accomplishing a successful hunt.
