Will be moving back down to Indiana in the spring (Cass). Got the family all set up with crossbows. I went with Barnett Predator, son got a Barnett BC Extreme, wife got the Barnett Lady Raptor FX.
I'm still on the fence, still like the compound, son says the same, momma likes the crossbow... Lol

Full hunting family rarely does that happen over her.
Well you have plenty of tools to choose from now, it really does not matter what one uses as long as it is lawful and one is proficient with it. and of course enjoys using it.
They all work.

I'm still on the fence, still like the compound, son says the same, momma likes the crossbow... Lol Nice!!!! I got a Raptor FX this year. I like the crossbow, but I'm not happy with the scope. I think I'm going to upgrade to a Hawke 1.5-5x. The stock scope has a glare and I can't quite get it zeroed. I'm all the way left and it is still off a fraction. I tried flipping the rings and it didn't help. Also, while I was dealing with my scope, I was hunting with someone else's Barnett xbow. I killed a deer at 28 yds and she took up way too much glass. 4x scope is too much magnification for me at bow range. |

Good to hear you'll be coming back home. Will you miss those Minnesota winters? Yes I will, winter is my favorite time of year, we have a different kind of cold up here -20 here is like 5 above down there, we have a dry cold. I'll miss everything about Minnesota except the deer hunting. |
