I'm impressed, a little shocked, that a bullet would randomly make it 75 yards through the woods a hit somebody.

A accidental misfire is another/different story..IMO Control the barrel of the gun and it takes that away too. The barrel should never be pointed at anything at any time you don't intend to kill.
