I threw this in ask a conservation officer thread also, but in case Morrison doesn't see it for a bit, does anybody know the answer?
Deer Reduction zone (urban zone).
Lake County if that matters. I harvested a doe last year but never shot a buck. Would that doe last year count for this year or does the doe have to be taken in the specific hunting year before a buck can be taken?
It'd be a non-issue if I shot a buck there last year but I didn't. I was told that Wisconsin has a 1 year period, but didn't know if Indiana was like that. i.e. if you shot a doe in one of those zones in Wi. last year and didn't take a buck, it counted for this year too.
Thanks.

You don't have to kill a doe first. You have to kill a dog first if you want to use the "reduction zone extra buck tag", but you could always use your statewide tag and go ahead and kill the buck first.
