Got the road kill ground and froze this morning. Had butchered it and put in fridge to age a little. Ended up with 2 whole shoulder blade roast, 4 strip of loin and 36 lbs of burger. Not bad considering I lost a whole ham and pevilc that was beat up to bad to save. I hate throwing meat away but could not see ruening 30 lbs of burger trying to save a little meat from the rear when if I had not picked it up it would have all gone to wast anyway.

My wife was city girl eating only meat from the grocery stores that is until she met me. We went bike riding one fall day and on the way home there in the middle of the road was a fresh hit hen Pheasant that wasn't there an hour ago. I hit the berm and jumped out like a paratrooper jumping out of a plane when I returned with the bird which was in excellent shape my wife was shocked and appalled. She asked what I planned on doing with it so I told her we were going to eat it, she said "WE" are not going to eat it you can eat it. A couple days later I cooked it up and got her to try it her response was " how many of these can you get in a season"?
