My wife and I hit this one out of the park with our Sunday breakfast.
We had Lake Erie Walleye that I caught in May blackened in a cast iron skillet, while I was cooking the fish I was also grilling marinated X- large Portabella mushroom caps that were marinated over night in Italian Good Seasonings. I was doing this cooking outside enjoying a colorful and chilly fall morning.
While I was outside my wife was inside cooking up her famous seasoned diced potatoes and peppers along with farm fresh eggs, toasted Italian herd bread slathered with homemade maple butter. We washed it all down with orange juice and coffee while we listened to one of the last Prairie Home Companion shows.
