I guess there are sayings like that for a reason.
Yesterday or earlier today I was lamenting about the sparse rainfall.
Well, I just checked the rain gauge. in the past 2 hrs we've had 3" of rain and most of that came in one hours time....... That puts me at 3.5" of rain for today (so far).
While it might help the pond (it's down 30" since the end of July) I don't know how much of the rain actually soaked in. The dirt was so dry yesterday that water ran off instead of soaking in.

Total rainfall is 4 3/4" in the previous 24 hr. period.......

I bet we have not had 2/10th's inch of rain in the last 30 days in Perry Co. and the next 15 days of the outlook is 0 % chance so it looks like another failed fall food plot year for me.

Update: Total rainfall is 4 3/4" in the previous 24 hr. period....... Send some of that down here!!! .....And send some to Central Kentucky too. We had a little sprinkle yesterday afternoon, which amounted to nothing.

No rain in forecast here in the next ten days. Glad I didn't plant on my place this year. Buddy's plots are sparce at best. Did get all 7 tree stands up yesterday.
