Hi all. What are some good recommendations for waterproofing ground blinds? Are there any tips and tricks?
Also what specific products are better than others and why is that your opinion?
I have never hunted out of a ground blind, and I'm taking my younger children with me this season so that's why I'm using a blind this year.
Thanks!

What WOODY said. Do it now so it won't smell by deer season.

Good idea guys. I need to buy a new ground blind and I'll seal the seams/treat it and set it up in the yard for a week or so to get the newness worn off.

I used the Coleman sealer on a rhino I bought and it worked. After I told them it leaked, they gave me a new one that doesn't leak, so I'm not sure how long it last.

Thanks for the advice guys. I bought some Coleman sealant and another Coleman spray waterproof. I used it yesterday and the stuff is strong It definitely requires some time to get adjusted to get the smell off.

Get some Flex Seal in clear. Or black and spray it on the inside.

I used black flexseal on the inside of my blind. It does take some time for the smell to go away but it works.

I use Scotch Guard from a spray can for all fabric I want water repellent. It's not water PROOF.
I usually spray down everything like that with permethrin as well and let it dry good.

I hear that usual Waterproofing sealant is okay for such things. You can try it too. I used a few times and it worked.
