I see no issue taking your Deer from your Home Deck, as long as it is legal to do so. I've bagged two Deer so far: one from my back porch (last day of 2014 rifle season) and shot one out my bedroom window during the 2012 rifle season. Must confess, I prefer to hunt them in the great outdoors from a tree stand, but with no bait, which is legal in Kentucky.

Don't sit on the deck be smart and put in a couple windows so that you can hunt from the concealment and the comfort of the dry indoors. I hunt from a shed and I even have carpeting a table and a heater.

One one of the properties I hunt I have actually hunted from the outhouse with the door propped open because the rain just wouldn't quit. I'd have to hang orange on it to do that now.

I'd hunt from a hottub if the set-up was good just like that other redneck in that picture on the internet. I also killed my first deer in pajamas. I don't know why people seem to think that you have to be miserable and uncomfortable and dressed all proper to kill a deer ethically. They're probably just mad that they are suffering and things aren't as easy for them.

I shot my first crossbow buck about 5 years ago. It was December 23 and it was cold out (single digits) with snow on the ground. I was in a "Shadow Blind" with a propane heater. It was so warm and comfy in there I had stripped down to my base layer and my boots were off and that's how I was when I shot him. I almost hated getting dressed to go get him afterwards! (Not really) LOL!
