Ok. Last year I bought my first Crossbow. A Barnett Recruit Compound. I bought it as a Entry Level Xbow. Now I am wanting a new one and plan on getting one or 2 this August.
My original plan was to get the PSE TAC 15i but after handling one and actually shooting one I found that this is actually too much bow. Its long, heavy, the crank is ratchet style so its loud and the whole thing is just really awkward. Plus I have read some tech reviews that aren't promising.
Now I have been a Barnett customer for over a year. I was looking at the Barnett Buck Commander Extreme and the Ghost 410. I was also looking at the Razr but I have also read and heard a lot of complaints about that one to. Its heavy, loud, has a strong recoil...
Then someone brought to my attention Mathew's Mission line of Xbows.
I really don't want to leave Barnett. I have had a lot of luck with them and they have a very decent Customer Service BUT I am being drawn into Mission pretty hard. The 3 bows I am looking at from the Mission line is the Sniper Lite, Dagger and 320. I have heard and read nothing but awesome reviews of these 3 Xbows and their customer service is top notch and plus your bow is under a life time warrantee. I have seen videos on these 3 bows. They are small and powerful but they are extremely quiet. The Dagger only has a 10" power stroke...
I love the look and feel of the Buck Commander Extreme and the Ghost 410. The 410 does have several cons to it. Its loud, uses a lot of bow wax. I have always been under the impression that you had to be quiet while you hunt...
I haven't had a chance YET to handle the 3 Mission bows but was wondering if anyone here owns one and could give me some info about it....
