I try to get to West Texas every year for some hog hunting and predator calling. I have a good friend that is a wonderful outfitter for the common man. I took another good friend (my taxidermist) with me this time. In 2 1/2 days of hunting we were fortunate enough to call in 6 bobcats and have shots on 4. 3 of the cats called in were in the daylight. We even seen a cat just driving the Ag field at his Runnells County property that was just across the fenceline (in Texas it is a felony to harvest an animal on another persons property w/o permission) Long story short we shot 1cat and (Bill forgive me) my taxidermist missed 3 cats (at night) as it was his first time ever night hunting. I am glad that mine was harvested at last light as I am new to night hunting as well (LOL). My buddy in Texas doess a wonderful job and it is always a pleasure to have an affordable hunt as he only charges $75 per day for all the hogs and predators you want to hunt. That also covers food and lodging! Here is a picture of my West Texas bobcat.

Good going!! That is a heck of a deal on a hunt. Lots of us could eat $75 worth of groceries in a day - easily. Did you get into any hogs while you were there? .

Bill shot a big black and white one the first night and I hit a black one the second night. The moon phase kind of messed us up for the hogs. They had enough light to run at night but we did not have enough light to shoot!
Jason does a wonderful job in his operations.
