My Dad decided he wanted his old Marlin lever action 22 back so that left me with nothing to use on pests that cause problems in the yard and barn. I made a little money selling wood a couple of weeks ago so I spent a little on this Savage model 64. I know its a low end gun but all I need to do with it is hit a coon at 25 yards max. I got it used for $140. Its practically brand new. The guy said he only put a few rounds through it to test it out. He had all the paper work with it and even threw in 100 rounds. It has a decent scope on it. I got it tuned in and hitting pretty good. There are 12 holes in that target at 25 yards shooting off of my truck bed rail. I like the way it shoots. This is my first semi auto long gun. I've always used pumps or lever action. The trigger is a little stiff. I need to read the manual and see if I can adjust it.

I have a Marlin mag still in the package somewhere. Don't remember what it fits but it may well be that rifle. I'll try to remember to look for it. If so I'll send it to you.

Wow. Thanks. I appreciate it.

Well done they make fine guns for home use never cared much for the fumbly magazines in the woods though but they are nice to have sitting somewhere ready to shoot.

I like it!
I just ordered a Beretta ARX 160. It was marked down to $307 with free shipping; I couldn't believe it. I think they're usually about $500. I'll be plinking again soon, and maybe get me a varmint.

Look what I found...... I remembered wrong - sorry Can anyone use this? It also fits some Glenfield's, Monkey Ward's, Coast to Coast, and Big 5 models.
