Looks like that shooter has fired it way too many times judging by looks (Pony tail)!! Just another caliber that is really not needed for hunting anything on this planet. The only thing that [could] happen is a detached Retinas or a shoulder injury. The video was impressive though!!

Lol I had that almost happen to me once the first time I shot my T/C Contender 45 cal. muzzle loader with 150g of powder in it. It barely touched me around the eye but not enough to leave a print. Needless to say I haven't shot a full charge since .

When it was first done you could see my skull before the blood started pouring out of it and down my face.

Lol That's what they call a "Weatherby Eyebrow" ......When the scope makes contact with ones head around the eyes. When I fired the .460 (2-shots) at an empty oil drum, the .460 WM had open express sights. After I fired it I then fired a .378 WM to compare recoil levels. The .378 WM was much worse, with its sharper recoil; while the .460 WM was more of a heavy push which made me step back as couple of steps.

That has been my experience as well; I find the fast rounds with a sharper impulse curve above 30 cal are the ones I don't like. 416 Rigby, 458 I can handle; 338mag and I'm sure your 378 - not so much.

I busted my head on my crossbow scope; I'd kill myself shooting something else with this.
