My all time favorite was the fella who wanted help identifying something he saw with red eyes. It was a hoot; I know it had over 500 posts.

It's not for the deer; it's for the vampires and such. I think I remember you posting this one. It was soooooo much fun! I don't remember who started it, but he saw something that shook him up. For a while after, I kept trying to get greyhair to tell his story. I don't think I could have begged him anymore than I did, and the fact that he's so reluctant to tell it, makes me want to hear it all the more.

Damn you Met! How could you do that!? I've also hunted Big Oaks and I did too see a large fence that had some height to it. It did surround the place also, and you can only get in there by going through large gates. Who cares if someone wants to hunt behind a fence. Oh, wait, I'm going to go out on a limb and say just about every hunter has hunted behind a fence at some point in life. Most farms have a fence marking the boundaries of their property. Now to me that is not free range hunting, free range the animals can go and come freely, if the animal has to jump a fence then it is not moving freely.
Nice Pig!

I see a difference in behind a fence with animals raised and put behind a fence with the intention of charging someone to kill and a fence for security and property boundry ID such as BOKNWR where animals can come and go as they please

There is absolutely nothing wrong with thinking like this. If I had been hunting for 30-40 years, I'd probably feel the same way immediately. I appreciate you telling it like you feel it. We can make lots of excuses as to why something should or shouldn't be, but I like to hear the foundation of one's argument. I'm sensing that the biggest reason against it is that it's personal. It's too easy to get a big one; it's not real hunting. These are perfectly valid opinions, just like my black socks and sneakers.

Lol, I think I hold the record here for the amount of hogs killed with ear tags and in pens. I never got one mounted though, Metamora what would your recommendations be since you seem to be such a die hard high fence hunter? I really want to make sure the mount showcases the ear tag the animal has because that's the first thing I look for when admiring someone's taxidermy work. As for shooting tagged animals... I know nothing would make me more disgusted and upset then shooting a banded bird. Every time I see a banded bird I'm always reminded of how domesticated they are because filthy human hands have touched that bird before it had the privilege to die at the end of my gun. I mean if we had a loaf of bread and just started scattering it, I bet those banded ducks would just come and feed right out of our hands. Truly disgusting. What's next shooting deer with radio collars on them?
