Some friends and I are wanting to get together to do some coyote hunting this Saturday and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they were having better luck in the morning or at night? Just wondering! Thanks

This Saturday should be fine either morning or night. I know that when I was climbing into the duck blind over the weekend the moon was bright. Might have made for some good evening hunting then. I've found that if you hit enough spots, I think you can find a hungry coyote anytime of the day/early night. I say early, because we haven't had much luck on them after about 10:00. That's when the foxes start working. My buddy calls more up in the mornings and I call more up in the evenings. If we could just get this to work together when we are hunting together we would have truck loads of coyotes.

The first two and a half hours of daylight and the last 30 minutes of daylight are the best times to be calling right now.
Anything between 9:30 a.m and 5:15 p.m. is going to require some luck, good location and perfect weather. (IE:Nasty weather)

I agree with JRB. The last 3 coyotes that I have taken this week fell into those timelines.

All my 'yote hunting is early morning or late evening. don't hunt at night. Have no problems calling in dogs in thick stuff in the day.
