Hello all. I'm originally from Pennsylvania, but have been in Indiana for Over a decade. Moved out here for school, met my wife, and ended up staying.
After about 10 years, we were finally in a position where we were able to buy some land in Southern Indiana and went hunting last year. It was my wife's first season ever, and she got a doe. She botched a chance at a nice 10 pointer on her second day out, but that's a story for another thread.
Came across this forum after looking around for Indiana hunting stuff on the web. Read some and it seemed like some good discussion rather than just bickering so thought I'd sign up.
Look forward to speaking with all of you.

It's great that you've gotten your wife interested in this wonderful sport. My wife has no interest, but I stay away from her craft room too. We don't bicker much here; Woody keeps us in line.

I noticed the tone here to pretty good. Pleasant change of pace.
It's funny. I didn't think my wife would like it. She's not very patient and hates being cold, but she's pretty obsessed with it actually.

I noticed the tone here to pretty good. Pleasant change of pace. It's funny. I didn't think my wife would like it. She's not very patient and hates being cold, but she's pretty obsessed with it actually. We'll debate things and disagree, but we share a common interest, and really it's Woody who keep us civil. One of the funniest post we had was when one fella saw something with red eyes. This was probably 1-1/2 to 2 years ago. We had so much fun commenting on it, and it got a lot of comments. I knew nothing about hunting when I joined the site, and the guys have been very helpful to me. They didn't care when I would ask a stupid question, and I asked a lot of them. I still don't know much, but have learned enough to get me started. Actually, this is how I got my name. "You know nothing Jon Snow." It's from Game of Thrones. That's interesting to me how a person with little patients and dislike for cold would like to hunt. Hunting will test both! I'm just thrilled when young kids and women are introduced to the sport. My daughter likes guns and likes to shoot, but I can't get her away from her boyfriend long enough to hunt. They paintball. Enjoy the site and post often. We're very happy that you found and joined us.
