Was up in the Pigeon River FWA this mornin scoutin turkeys/lookin around.... Went down a road that has ponds on both sides( no clue where or what the names of ponds were... i DO NOT know my way around that place found that out).... but anywho.... There he sat.... about 10 yards off the road.... no camera.... real nice drake blue wing..... I think he is possibly a bit lost.... still snow on the ground up here... a touch early perhaps....
BUT!!!!! my highlight!!... right accross the road... with 3 of the prettiest wood ducks possible... and 2 black ducks... The king of puddlers (to me)... Mr. Drake Baldpate.. and WOW was he dressed up nice this morning. All peach/pink down the sides and the the hairdew was shinin like a light off the sun. I want one sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo badly.
