What kind of banding is that on their necks? Are those IN birds? That looks like the banding the state was using for relocated birds this last year....

Well it obviously was early season with the short sleeves and greener grass, so they got into a local flock that was recently banded it looks like (that year's banding). Caught them before they left and paired off, I've been out playing golf before and had a whole flock of 20-30 geese all banded all around us at 30-40 ft.  You want to start wacking them with your golf club!! ;D That would be cool though!! When was this? A few years ago? |

Thats ohio and that is zink and field. Based on the # of bands around fields neck I would have to say that was quite a few years ago

We had 11 in a flock here in town over the summer.. All had white collars,, some had 1 band,, some had 2 bands,, some had no bands...  |

We shot 9 out of 9 leg bands out of one group during sept season out of a group of ~50. Banded that year about 10 miles away. Neck bands would have been cool!!!
