I am considering upgrading my old bow to a crossbow and I like excaliber's simplicity. Anyone own one? Thoughts?

Absolutely love mine, I got the axiom on Amazon free shipping with 12pk of bolts and 100 gr tips for 550.00. Set it up in about 6 shots out of box. I have killed 6 deer and one turkey with it. Simplicity is the key word and why I bought it.

It is very simple and a nice crossbow. The one complaint I have is they are so wide and difficult to maneuver in a stand.

I like to hunt in a double or triple tree and that can get a little hairy up there trying to maneuver a longer limbed crossbows between the trees. I sold it and now only use TenPoints..

The new Excalibur Micro 335's are only 25 inches wide. That's great for a recurve xbow.
I have had a couple different Excalibur xbows and loved them. Only reason I don't have one now is I wanted to kill a deer with a bow. I went recurve because if something happens to the string, you can change it in the field... and it's actually happened to me once. After brushing in a blind a few years ago, I managed to not completely sheath the machete I was using and it touched the string. Didn't cut it very much, but enough to warrant changing the string.

Axiom here. Heavy but we love ours. Don't plan on replacing it.
