Hooked up with a different partner this evenin on hunt this evening in a corn field in Lag co... Originally went alone but when i saw how many were at there roost i had to call in back up ( i was hopin)... Even after some "XXXXX" first flocks and some bad shootin... we yanked it out... 10 more in the dirt... I could not shoot for nothin tonight!!.... i mean were talkin birds "IN yo face" and i would only shoot 1 per flock... luckily my partner was suckin just as bad but did bail me out a few times.. I think it took us 6 volleys of decoyin birds to get our 10... I was aggravated durin the shoots.. but now i look back at it and wouldnt trade workin that many birds for nothin... Pics to come in mornin.. Pizza man here!!

Pizza sounds good. I think we've both been on FIRE during this late season.

tim, i went mishawaka yesterday to my youngest kid's house and coming home i could not believe the number of birds that were out, in the air, feeding in fields, those boys have got it made up there. Even our early season spot had close to a thousand there and in the fields next to it. It's kinda got me wondering how many James Bay birds are back up or did they even go south? Do the red neckbands mean anything? Probably seen 20 of them. We got a migrator on the opener, but he's been the only one so far. It was banded and it did come across the border.
