Would not having that kit on my crossbow cause a splinter to pop up? I've noticed this on the inside of one limb. Should I be concerned with it? It would get a little bigger with each shot but it seems to have stopped. It hasn't gotten any bigger for the last few shots.

Scrub,
I texted someone I know at TenPoint and referenced your post. Hopefully he will get back with me soon, but it is the weekend and hunting season .
Personally I would stop shooting the bow until you know for sure..

That kind of stinks. I was planning on letting my son hunt with it next week. Thanks for looking into it for me.

Southeastern corner of the state. Thanks for the offer but that is pretty far. The splinter is on the inside of the limb and is under compression. It didn't get any bigger with the last few shots. I think it should be OK to shoot a few more times. It was there when I shot my buck the other day.

If he can get help to let it down with the rope cocker that will buy him a little more time too. " I'm having trouble getting texts in and out here so more info might be coming..

So after season I need to send it back to them? The entire crossbow or just the bow section?

He says -" If he wants to hunt a couple days with his son he should be good. Just watch it."

Just the bow section. You'll have to get ahold of Wicked Ridge Customer Service for a Return Authorization number

It would get a little bigger with each shot but it seems to have stopped. It hasn't gotten any bigger for the last few shots. I have that kit on my Invader and after at least 300 shots my limbs are OK, but I haven't shot it for a year since I got my XB320

I made one similar to that for my Barnett Revolution. I used a pair of Simms solid limb dampners for the string to stop against, and machined the base out of aluminum. It's been on the bow for 5-6 7 years now and I'll end up replacing the dampners at the end of this year - they are getting a line in them where the string contacts them. I set it up so the string is just off of them when at rest.

The kit showed up today. I'll put it on this weekend and try it out.
