We had our 1st Annual Hoosier Celebrity Goose Hunt this weekend and also our Grammer School 101 instructional seminar. We had Scott Threinen down, author of the "BAD GRAMMER" instructional CD. It was really an honor to have him down for this event!!! 
Scott is the real deal!!! Not an ego bone in his body! He was a wealth of information, and has really devoted himself to learning GEESE, not reiterating what others have said for years, so it was a real privilege to sit in on his seminar, and also open it up to any questions that all may have had. Also calling instruction, which was really educating and helpful!!! Overall we spent 5 hrs. with Scott for the seminar, and we grilled out hamburgers, had chips and drinks, and a really great time, so thank you to all that came out!! Now the hunt side of things was a tough one!!! 
For some reason they really didn't want to do much flying, we still managed 6 birds for the first day, and had a wonderful time out, again alot of time for the guys to talk with Scott and pick his brain and learn first hand out in the field. And to have him out calling was great, this guy is AWESOME!! On a bad note..... Saturday night about 1 1/2 hr. after our seminar was over (9:30 pm), Scott got a call from his sister that their grandmother had passed away unexpectantly. Scott and their whole family are extremely close (they all farm together), and this was devastating news to him! 
He was distraught over what to do, he felt obligated of course to guide the hunt the next day on Sun., but I told him that family was far more important and that he should head home to be with his family, so we got up early Sun. and headed back home. Kevin with River City Outfitters went ahead and took care of the hunt for Sun. and he'll send along the photos from Sun. and I'll post later, but here are the photos from Sat.'s events...... Also, I'm sure that Scott would covet your prayers for his family at this time!

I was too busy really trying to pay attention and learn myself, and also getting the food ready! Sorry about that!!
