I've always been under the impression that with an archery license (no bonus licenses), you could only shoot 1 deer of either sex...but I was talking with Mississinewa office and they said that I can take either 2 does OR a buck and a doe without having to buy a bonus license. I usually only take 1 deer per year anyways, but what exactly are the new regulations on harvest numbers with "ONLY" the archery license?

Only one deer may be taken per license with the exception of the lifetime, deer bundle, and youth consolidated. A person may only take one (1) antlered deer per year. A person may purchase two (2) archery licenses per year. With these two (2) licenses, a person may take an antlered deer and an antlerless deer or two (2) antlerless deer. The second archery license is not considered a 'bonus' license. I posted the archery season dates and limit below from the Administrative Code. If you have additional questions, let me know.
(c) The archery deer season is from October 1 through the first Sunday in January. An individual must take not more than two (2) deer of which only one (1) may be antlered under this subsection.
