Maybe more people need to explain to these people as to what has happened and some of the cures to their woes. From what I read I was about ready to puke,so,, I had to put my two cents worth in. Doubt if it helps any,but it got said,WTH.

I know of a county that has plenty of residents that is not on the list. You want five birds, take out the plug restriction and allow hunting till dark and allow electronic callers. They are darn hard to hunt and kill, for one thing. I respect the challenge, but there are only so many allowed counties and hunters and only a few good weather days. And, a lot of the birds are shot up, already. The results will be interesting.

Freedomhunter, Is there a really sensible answer for this caos that is occurring in the large cities? Up here, there are more people that live in the suburbs of Evensville than this whole county. I can understand their reason for complaining,, there has to be a solution that will make everyone content,I'll never say happy. But you know, for years, the fish, everything that lives in the water downstream from any thing man has had his hand on has been contaminated in one way or the other, maybe,, just maybe, this is natures way of saying,,, GOT YA!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to be a smart ass, but perhaps we need to take your plans a little further, work with the people who don't allow hunting for whatever reason. There has to be a better way than going in with nets and whatever to cut the number down. Rochester,Minn. doesn't seem to have that much of a conflick with them. WHY???

Inside city limits I'd really like to see more archers get involved in taking out some of the "tame" geese that do attack people and chase them in office complexes. Unfortunately the public freaks out at the notion of taking a goose with an arrow, even more so that hunting in general. It's totally legal with permission from the property owner, and provided that the town you are in does not have any ordinances about dangerous projectiles.

huntingindiana.proboards52.com/index.cgi?board=coanswers&action=display&thread=1200632213&page=1#1200632213Not to say you wouldn't get away with it, but it is a valid point. Me I really don't get the archery apeal. If it is a problem bird net it and gas it, chop it's head off, what ever is the accepted practice. Putting an arrow in a bird in an area too congested for gun fire is a sure way to get a TV crew taking pics fo a bird with an arrow hanign out of it.... Some areas are best left to nets & gas, oil, and habitat alteration. Hunting is not always the best and certainly not the only way. We keep hunting in peoples backyards and we will loose more hunting areas every year which will require more egg oiling, and professional goose control. That doesn't include pro-staffers.
